Dear St. Philip the Apostle Parishioners,
St. Philip the Apostle has resumed Masses as of Saturday, May 16, 2020. The Mass times are the regular Mass times of Saturday at 4:00 PM (English) and 5:30 PM (Spanish). On Sunday, Mass times are at 8:00 AM and 10:30 AM. The procedures will be as follows:
· The Nave of the Church (main church) will be populated at no more than 50% of capacity. Because of this, we have established a limit of no more than *75* people per Mass. We have created a SignUpGenius account for parishioners to sign up to attend a Mass.
Click HERE to visit the SignUpGenius page for the weekend Masses (01/23/2021, 01/24/2021).
*Please note: If your first choice of Mass is filled, please sign up for another Mass time also included in the link. Further, Sunday Mass will still be available for viewing on the church’s YouTube channel at 10:30 AM.
· Please plan on arriving 15 to 20 minutes prior to your Mass time due to the extra precautions being taken. Please sustain the social distancing rule of 6 feet.
· As parishioners arrive, they will be greeted at the door by two volunteers at a table. One for hand sanitizer, the other will provide a mask, if needed.
· With worship aids in hand, the Ushers will then proceed to seat the parishioners in the pews. The Ushers will give the parishioners the appropriate number of aids. Please allow the Usher to guide you. This is to ensure the 6 foot social distancing rule.
· Until further notice, out of love for your clergy and your neighbor, it is preferable to receive the Eucharist in your hands. We urge this, but gently and with sensitivity. The sacred host should be dropped in the hands of each parishioner (without touching).
· After Mass, the Ushers will direct and accompany the people to leave Mass keeping in mind the social distancing rule.
· All are required to use masks throughout the Mass.
Please remember, if it does not feel right, please do not come. There is no rush at all and if we start slowly, it will give us an opportunity to do this phased reopening correctly. The Sunday Mass will still be available for viewing on the St. Philip the Apostle Church’s YouTube channel at 10:30 AM in English.
