[Jesus] said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I send you." ... Whose sins you forgive are forgiven them, and whose sins you retain are retained.”
- John 20:21-23
“And when he had said this, he breathed on them and said to them, “Receive the holy Spirit. Whose sins you forgive are forgiven them, and whose sins you retain are retained (John 20:22-23)."
“For a constant and speedy advancement in the path of virtue we highly recommend the pious practice of frequent confession, introduced by the Church under the guidance of the Holy Spirit; for by this means we grow in a true knowledge of ourselves and in Christian humility, bad habits are uprooted, spiritual negligence and apathy are prevented, the conscience is purified and the will strengthened, salutary spiritual direction is obtained, and grace is increased by the efficacy of the sacrament itself.”
-Pius XII, Mystici Corporis.
At this parish, our children receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation in the 2nd grade. The parents are invited to enroll their children in the Parish Religious Education program and the date of their first Confession will be communicated to the family at the beginning of the year.
If your child has already passed the 2nd grade the Director of Religious Education will ensure they are prepared and have the opportunity to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
We offer the Sacrament of Reconciliation three times every weekend:
Saturday: 4:00 PM - 4:30 PM
Sunday: 7:15 AM - 7:30 AM
9:30 AM - 10:00 AM
