Catholic Charities of West Tennessee: Each year Catholic Charities of West Tennessee resettles over 200 refugees fleeing persecution in their homeland. Refugees arrive in the United States with the full knowledge and support of the United States Government. Please support the efforts of Catholic Charities in welcoming these strangers via their Providing Help...Bringing Hope; Season of Advent campaign. More information can be found at CCWTN.org. All funds raised, stay here in West Tennessee and we ask you to please be generous.

Ladies Guild: Volunteers needed for: Bingo at National Healthcare 308 Lake Dr. (across from Methodist Hospital) Somerville. Bingo every 4th Wednesday afternoon starting at 2 pm. Parish Finance Council: Congratulations to the following individuals who have been appointed to Parish Finance Council: Anna Marie Pattat, Kari Weber, Ron Smith, Bill Rapp, Buck Miller, David Work, and Lori Strickland. These individuals bring a wealth of professional experience to their appointment. The Finance Council meets on a quarterly basis, and the minutes will be posted on the parish web site. Access - Do you ever feel like paying a visit to our Church for prayer or time in our Prayer Garden? For those who would like to make a visit at any time of the day or night, the Church can easily be accessed. Just call either the Church Office or directly to Fr. Footsteps to our Future – On the third weekend of the month, there will be a second collection taken for our Footsteps to our Future Capital Campaign until January 2013. Temporary envelopes will be available for your use until March. In March all registered members of the parish who receive Offertory Envelopes will find a special envelope for the Footsteps to our Future. Did you know you can have your donation commitment for “Footsteps to our Future” automatically withdrawn from your savings or checking account? If you are interested in setting this up, please stop by the parish office and pickup a form. Deductions are taken out monthly, or bi-weekly.

Catholic Publication Subscribers – Ever thought what to do with your magazines and newspapers when you are finished with them? Please consider sharing them with our religious education program! They can be used for a variety of projects and classroom activities. A donation bin is located in the classroom hallway near the water fountain. Want to learn more about the Faith? – New classes are beginning throughout the Diocese on a wide variety of subjects. Classes meet at various churches and different times/days so there is usually something to suit everyone’s schedule and need. Class flyers are available at the PCC or on www.cdom.org 

Lighthouse Catholic Media CDs are now available at St. Philip! These CDs offer faith enriching talks on a wide variety of aspects of our faith. CDs are $3 and brochures are $.50, is on the honor system. Please deposit the money in the kiosk deposit slot. New titles will be added as current supplies are depleted.

The Catholic Diocese of Memphis encourages all victims or parents of minors who are victims of sexual abuse by a priest, deacon or diocesan employee to report such abuse by phoning TN Child Abuse Hot Line: 1-877-237-0004, Victim Asst Coordinator for Memphis Diocese, Shari Lee 652-4066 or Office of Child & Youth Protection, Jim Latta 359-2027. All reports will be treated in a confidential manner. The Diocese offers a program of psychological & spiritual assistance to abused victim in need.

Bulletin Announcements - Information for the bulletin must be submitted no later than 5:00pm Wednesday of each week. Announcements must be submitted in writing on the ‘Bulletin Announcement Form’ located at the Parish Communication Center or click here to submit the form via email. Announcements must be submitted at least three weeks prior to events/notices along with your name and daytime phone number.  Contact the church office at 465-8685 for further information.
